Product description Dharma Bowl Bell 7 cm
The Dharma Bell is similar to the Tibetan bowls - a singing bowl that sounds at the beginning and end of meditation. It rings in the same way as its relative the keizu bell (also called Daitakuji after a major Japanese Buddhist temple), sounding during sutra readings and daily ceremonies. The bell is sounded by striking the edge of the bell with a mallet, trying to find the right place and angle to get the clearest sound. Its deep resonant tone helps to calm the mind and find inner harmony.
In the words of the famous Vietnamese monk Tich Nhat Hanh, there is peace, tranquility and joy within each of us, but we must call them out so they can show themselves. Inviting them in with the Dharma bell is a way to bring them from deep within our souls to the light of day.
"I hold the bell in my palm and breathe deeply. I breathe in and calm my mind. I exhale and smile."
Package includes a pillow, mallet and bell.
Note: The bell is made from an alloy of copper, zinc and silicon.
