The handmade gong is a tribute to the traditional methods of its manufacture, as well as to the Chinese craftsmen who perfected their techniques to achieve its perfect tuning.

Gongs of all shapes and sizes have accompanied Asian people in their religious and secular lives for centuries. Their bright resonant tone has been used by rulers, warriors, priests and peasants. While in temples the sound of the gong begins and ends the day, and its clear, pure tone accompanies prayer and inspires concentration, in other places the mysterious voice of the gong summons the spirits of the dead or drives away evil forces.
