Green maté Rancho with a touch of lemongrass, slightly smoky, pleasantly bitter, subtly citrusy, uplifting flavour.
Recommended preparation of 0.5 litres of tea:
First infusion - 10 g of tea poured over approx. 80°C boiled water into a calabash.
Second infusion - pour about 85°C boiled water into a calabash.
Mate - crushed leaves of Paraguayan holly, which grows in South American countries. Because maté does not contain the leaves of the tea plant, this drink does not need to be strained after pouring - in fact, it does not become bitter as the pouring time increases. It is commonly recommended to pour 80°C water over maté, but it is also possible to pour cold water over it (with the proviso that it is left to stand longer in the fridge - ice maté), and the drink is topped up as needed, as long as it tastes good.
