Almost everyone in the pipe world has heard of a California gold called Cane Mint. A common tobacco for American pipe makers, but a legend of perfectly tuned flavours and remarkable strength for Czech pipe makers. The demand for American Tangiers has long far exceeded supply, and no wonder. Subtle cut, dark leaf with no refinement, unique flavors tuned to perfection, a slight tobacco flavor and a serious buzz. That's exactly what Tangiers Noir offers to the pipe gourmet.

Highlights

Tangiers Tobacco simply does it differently. The founder, Eric Hoffman, has a degree in chemistry. Not surprisingly, the flavors are finely tuned and highly addictive.

Tangiers Noir tobacco requires specific handling. To fully develop its flavour, it needs to acclimatise. Once opened, transfer the tobacco to a suitable box and leave it open for 4 hours, stirring it now and then. This is exactly what the tobacco needs to acclimatise and develop the right flavour.

Flavour: The Latin American form of the Spanish drink horchata (read orchata) inspired the tobacco makers, creating a unique flavour combining sweet rice, aromatic cinnamon and sinfully sweet condensed milk.

Note: Beginning pipe smokers should handle tobacco with caution, keeping in mind that strong tobacco can cause nausea, dizziness and, in extreme cases, more serious problems.
