The steaming process for most tea leaves takes about half a minute. Only in the case of one variety does this time stretch to 45-60 seconds - Sencha Fukamushi Superior. The blend of Gyokuro and Sencha offers the best qualities of both varieties - the sweet taste of Gyokuro and the refreshing aroma provided by Sencha.

Due to the longer steaming time, Sencha Fukamushi Superior requires easier and shorter steeping. For best results and to avoid bitterness, the recommended steeping time is 40 seconds. This applies to both hot and iced drinks.
