Simple wire pendant in the shape of the tree of life made of malachite.

Mineral stones have been attributed with various abilities since time immemorial, whether to heal, ward off misfortune or attract prosperity.

Malachite appears in ancient Egypt, Greece and Rome as a decorative stone, used for carving various statues and decorative objects, but also for making jewellery and amulets. Thanks to the rich deposits in the Urals, it became very popular in Russia in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, and tabletops or trimmings made of malachite became typical Russian products. The most important malachite collection was assembled in the Winter Palace in St. Petersburg by Tsar Peter the Great.
