The tradition of Chinese tea-sets dates back to the Tang Dynasty (618-907). Before that time, it was common to prepare and serve tea in whatever ceramic vessels were available.
Contemporary Chinese ceramics are decorated with glaze and mostly floral motifs, giving tea sets a positive and calming energy. The energy then flows through the prepared tea into the body of anyone who allows themselves to be captivated by the artistry of Chinese masters.
The teapot includes a coarse strainer on the inner side, preventing larger leaves from passing through the pouring spout of the teapot.
