Tibetan prayer flags have 7 different colors, which represent the 7 basic chakras in our body. Purple for the darkening chakra, dark blue for the third eye chakra, light blue for the throat chakra, green representing the heart chakra, yellow for the solar-plexus chakra, orange representing the sacral chakra and red for the root chakra. Each flag bears a representation of the corresponding chakra and a mantra opening the area of that chakra.
Chakras are an important part of Eastern religions, but we also encounter them in esotericism. They represent the places in the human body where energy passes through and affect our psyche and physical health. If our chakras are in balance, then our body and mind are also in balance.
